City of Berkeley Housing Authority

City of Berkeley Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. These programs are income based and eligibility requirements are set by HUD. There may be a wating list for vouchers or rentals and at times the lists may close to new applicants due to the overwhelming need for housing assistance in the area. If you are in need of assistance please contact the Housing Authority directly to obtain more information about eligibility requirements, availability of assistance or rentals, the status of any waiting lists and their application procedures. Their office is available Monday - Thursday 8:15am - 4:30pn to assist you.
