About This Building

Kensington Campus is a 14-acre therapeutic community designed to house, employ, and rehabilitate the local homeless population. Kensington offers both interim housing and permanent supportive housing, along with complete wraparound services, provided by The People Concern, including case management, wellness programs, medical and mental health care.
Eligibility: Kensington serves adult individuals (not families) currently experiencing homelessness.
As part of the Citys overarching homelessness initiative, Kensington Campus seeks to provide betterment, dignity, and purpose to those most in need. This unprecedented and innovative development is located at Avenue I and 32nd Street West in Lancaster.

Kensington Campus is the largest fully integrated community of its kind in the Antelope Valley. At full occupancy, the therapeutic community offers 156 interim housing beds and 150 permanent supportive housing apartments. The first 149 residents have moved into homes of their very own and we recently welcomed over 140 program participants to interim housing! This campus is a critical resource for our most vulnerable neighbors as they rebuild their lives and find stability.
HOW TO APPLY:
All applicants are matched to this project through the Coordinated Entry System (CES).
Coordinated Entry System is a system of care for households experiencing homelessness
that matches homeless individuals and families to housing resources based on individual
needs.
