Housing Authority of Allegany County (HAAC()aims to provide safe, decent, sanitary and affordable housing to the low and moderate income residents of Allegany County, Maryland and the surrounding areas and to provide supportive services to the elderly residents residing at Willow Valley Apartments in order to prevent premature institutionalism and to enhance their quality of life.

HAAC provides housing assistance to low income residents through themanagement of Low Rent Public Housing. This program is income based andthe eligibility guidelines are set by HUD.There may be waiting lists forthese rentals and at times the lists may close to new applicants basedon the size of and length of wait on the lists.
