Historic Himelhoch was originally designed in 1901 for office and retail use. The Himelhoch Brothers leased the building from 1923 - 1977 for their upscale woman's department store. In the store's early days, you could see Detroit's first automobiles angle parked along the elegant and classically designed Washington Boulevard.
