The Housing Authority of the City of Springfield has both Section 8 and Public Housing apartments.
Office hours:
Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Wednesday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Closed weekends and holidays.
To qualify for public housing, your gross income must fall within the lower income guidelines (see chart below). Anyone within six months of turning 18 years old and who falls within the income guidelines may apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to sign a lease.

H.A.S Properties owns and operates 765 apartments.
To qualify for public housing, your gross income must fall within the lower income guidelines (see chart). H.A.S Properties offers no emergency housing.
