Meadowlark Glen Apartments is privately owned by Meadowlark Development, LLC , to provide affordable housing for the residents of Mooresville and the surrounding area.

The u. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is providing financing to the Owners through its Section 221(d)4 Program and Rental Assistance through its Section 8 Program.

Eligibility for admission/rental assistance/waiting list:a.

Income Limitation:Applicant(s) for occupancy must have a gross annual income of less than 50% (Very Low) of median income adjusted for family size as published annually by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Income eligiblity will be determined using all reported income from all family members.

B. Units Designed for Special Needs of Persons with Disabilities:The property contains some apartments which were specifically designed to accommodate persons with mobility impairments.

Individuals or families whose head of household or spouse/co-tenant has a mobility impairment requiring such special design features are eligible to occupy accessible units in this property.

C. Unit assignment:1. Persons at least 18 years of age for non-accessible units;2. Persons at least 18 years of age with mobility impairments requiring the special features of the "accessible units".

Persons under 18 years of age are required to provide documentation of emancipation, or third-party verification from Department of Social Services that housing for such minor is not available in the community.

Note: If no person with mobility impairments (either existing tenant or applicant on waiting list) requires such unit, such unit may be assigned to an individual without a mobility impairment as long as this person agrees to sign a waiver to transfer when such accessible unit becomes needed.

D. Priority For Admissions:Applicants who have been displaced by government action or a presidentially declared disaster will be given preference on the waiting list.

The Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 (QHWRA) requires that 40% of the units in the property that become available each fiscal year will be available to households with gross annual income of 30% or less of median income.

Admissions will be monitored on an quarterly basis to insure that the requirements are met.

This apartment accepts HUD subsidies.For HUD subsidized apartments, if you qualify for low income housing and they have available apartments, rent is based on 30% of your Adjusted Gross Income.Call for details.
