History: Originally built in 1962 and formerly known as the Adams Manor Apartments. This property is surrounded by luxury condominiums and apartments and recently-built townhouses are located across the street. 132 volunteers provided 845.5 man hours of sweat equity by painting, doing carpentry, and making bathroom tile repairs. Approximately $3,200 in materials was donated by the teams, and $4,695 was donated by United Methodist churches and individuals for appliances. The property was named to honor The Rev. William Watters, the first Methodist minister born in the United States. The property was refinanced with a loan from United Bank.Rehab completed in 2005 and 2006 included new kitchens, wall repairs, and a new roof.
