Several states, including Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina and Oregon, have Medicaid housing assistance programs. These programs vary by state.

For example:

· In Arizona and Oregon, certain Medicaid plans can cover up to six months of rent for qualifying families.

· Florida's Humana plan offers a one-time payment of up to $500 for rent or utilities.

· North Carolina's Wellcare plan provides up to $250 annually for housing and utility costs.

North Carolina also has a special Medicaid pilot program called the Housing Opportunities Program. This program can cover up to $500 for utilities, $10,000 for home repairs and disability modifications, and $2,500 for home goods.
