Ventura County Area, California Limited Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura (AHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted on a limited basis from November 3, 2020, until November 16, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the AHA, this opening was for "very low income households meeting the AHA residency preference (live, work or hired to work in the AHA’s jurisdiction) The AHA serves the cities of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County. Applications from those living and working outside the AHA’s jurisdiction will not be processed."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Residency preference (live, work or hired to work in the AHA’s jurisdiction) 

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
