Eligibility
The Oneida Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
This housing authority offers three apartment communities:
1. Oneida Towers 1, is a senior/disabled apartment community, that offers 100 units with one bedroom apartments.
2. Oneida Towers 2 is senior/disabled apartment community that offers 100 units with one bedroom apartments.
3. Herbert D. Brewer is a family apartment community that offers 40 units, ranging from one to four bedrooms.
There are three ways to apply for public housing:
1. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 315-363-8450, during normal office hours.
2. Download an application here, to be printed and completed.
3. Visit the housing authority office to pick up an application, located at 226 Farrier Ave., Oneida, NY 13421, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00am until 4:00pm.
Once the application has been completed, please call the office to schedule an interview at 315-363-8450, during normal office hours. Please include these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, proof of assets, photo IDs for all adult household members, and last page of application must be notarized.
This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: elderly, or disabled.
