Volusia County Community Assistance

Volusia County offers Community Assistance to income and program eligible households within the county. They provide grants, housing choice voucher (Section 8), and Human services to provide temporary emergency assistance and supportive services to those who apply. Applicants will more than likely meet with a case worker to determine eligibility. The Community Assistance Division provides the following services to assist those that are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or struggle with low incomes: FoodTransitional permanent housing Prescriptions and unfunded health care Rent/Mortgage/Utility payments Jail diversion Emergency  shelter  renovation Operating expenses for homeless providers For any additional questions, please contact the facility directly.
