Encinitas, California Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The City of Encinitas Housing Authority (CEHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.

Please note: The CEHA website says says, "If you do not live/work in Encinitas, then we anticipate that your name WILL NOT be reached on our waiting list. If you live outside of our area, it is suggested that you contact the housing authority that covers the area in which you live." Some housing authorities use this wording to dissuade non-local applicants of applying. The CEHA cannot deny your application simply if you are a non-local applicant. Applicants are not required to live in the area to apply.

To apply, download and print the application online here. In the "Waiting List" section, click the link for an English or Spanish application.

Once the application has been completed, it must be mailed to:

This waiting list has the following preferences: Live or work in the City of Encinitas, elderly, veteran, disabled, working.

If an applicant is added to the waiting list, they will be notified by mail. Persons on the waiting list can check their status by calling (760) 633-2723, or emailing [email protected].
