Torrance, California Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of Torrance (HACT) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. 

The HACT is accepting applications for this waiting list from July 26, 2022 at 9:00 am, until August 9, 2022 at 5:00 pm PT.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Family (more than one member), disabled, or elderly (age 62 or over) 
• Live or work (one adult member 20 hours a week or more) in the City of Torrance. This does not include the Torrance PO area east of Western Avenue (ex. 90502 zip code is not the City of Torrance). 
• Involuntary displaced by natural disaster or government action  
• Current member of the U.S. Armed Forces, a veteran (discharged other than dishonorably), a spouse of a veteran currently on active duty, or a surviving spouse of a veteran
• Victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking
• Households living in substandard housing 

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
