Orange County, California Section 8 HCV

The Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher applications from September 18, 2023 at 8:00 am, until September 29, 2023 at 11:59pm PT

There are two ways to apply while the waiting list is open:

1. Complete the online application

2. Print the paper application that may be available here. The OCHA public notice states there is a paper application, however, the link has not yet been found

Once the application has been completed, it must be either:

1. Postmarked before September 29, 2023, and mailed to the OCHA, P.O. Box 11387, Santa Ana, CA 92711

2. Emailed to [email protected]

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $50,250 | 5 Persons $77,500
• 2 Persons $57,400 | 6 Persons $83,250
• 3 Persons $64,600 | 7 Persons $89,000
• 4 Persons $71,750 | 8 Persons $94,750

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Living or working in OCHA’s jurisdiction, OCHA’s jurisdiction includes all cities and unincorporated areas of Orange County except for the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove and Santa Ana
• U.S. Veterans
• Elderly
• Disabled
• Working families
• Non-working families

12,000 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences
