Eligibility
The Bristol Housing Authority (BHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.
The BHA last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list from September 24, 2021 until October 8, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
There were two ways to apply during the opening period:
- Complete the online application.
- Pick up an application from the BHA office lobby.
Once the application was completed, it was postmarked between September 24, 2021 and October 8, 2021, and mailed to the Bristol Housing Authority.
The maximum income limit for each household size were as follows:
- 1 Person $36,550 | 4 Persons $52,150
- 2 Persons $41,750 | 5 Persons $56,350
- 3 Persons $46,950 | 6 Persons $60,500
This waiting list had the following preferences:
- Victims of Domestic Violence (11 points)
- Homeless (10 points)
- Non-elderly disabled (6 points)
- Veterans (1 point)
2,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
