Eligibility
The Wethersfield Housing Authority (WHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.
The WHA last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list from January 11, 2022, until January 13, 2022.There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.
The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:
- 1 Person $36,550 | 5 Persons $56,350
- 2 Persons $41,750 | 6 Persons $60,500
- 3 Persons $46,950 | 7 Persons $64,700
- 4 Persons $52,150 | 8 Persons $68,850
This waiting list had the following preferences:
- Involuntary Displaced (disaster, government action, action of housing owner, inaccessibility, property disposition, victims of domestic violence); or
- Live in Substandard Housing
- Are or have Elderly/Disabled/Handicapped Family Members (disabled/handicapped as defined in Section 223 of the Social Security Act).
500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
