This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Hialeah, Florida

The Hialeah Housing Authority (HHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 22, 2024 at 8:30 am, until April 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in June, 2021

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $39,750 | 5 Persons $61,300
• 2 Persons $45,400 | 6 Persons $65,850
• 3 Persons $51,050 | 7 Person $70,400
• 4 Persons $56,750 | 8 Persons $74,950

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Elderly or Disabled
• Displacement due to a Federally Recognized Natural Disaster
• Moving Up
• Homelessness
• Non-Elderly Disabled
• Person with Disabilities

1000 selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences
