Eligibility
The DuPage Housing Authority (DHA) Senior Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list for apartments at Arbor Place of Lisle, Marian Park, Naperville Elderly Homes, and Woodridge Horizons is closed.
The DHA last accepted applications for this waiting list from March 1, 2022, until March 31, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Arbor Place of Lisle is a privately owned and managed property that is age-restricted, age 62 and older, senior living community, offering 1-Bedroom and 2-Bedroom units with affordable rents. - Marian Park, Wheaton, IL; Studio, 1- Bedroom and 2- Bedroom Units
Marian Park offers apartments for persons ages 62 years and older. One building, with an elevator, is limited to persons 62 and over, and other buildings are 2 story walk-ups. Applicants must be 62 years of age or older. A Resident Service Coordinator is on staff to provide support while linking residents to the community services available in the area. - Mayslake Village, Oak Brook, IL 1- Bedroom Units
Mayslake Village offers affordable housing for Seniors who can care for themselves. Applicants must be 62 years of age or older. Only one member of a two-person household needs be 62 or older. - Naperville Elderly Homes, Naperville, IL; 1- Bedroom Units
Naperville Elderly Homes is a privately owned and managed senior living community that offers affordable rents. Residents are required to be age 62 and older and this applies to both members of a two-person household. - Woodridge Horizons, Woodridge, IL; Unit Types: One Bedroom Units
A Senior Citizen complex owned and managed by the Alden Network. Applicants must by 62 years or older.
To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.
This waiting list had the following preferences:
- Category One: Residency Preference:
- Full-time Resident of any municipality or township within the DHA service area of DuPage County; or
- One or more adults in the household is employed at least 30 hours per week within the DHA service area of DuPage County; or if one or more adults in the household is a participant for at least 30 hours per week within the DHA service area of DuPage County in an accredited employment training program designed to prepare individuals for the job market.
- Category Two: Family Preference:
- At least one household member is a minor child under 18 years old; or
- The head of household or spouse is at least 62 years of age or older; or
- At least one household member is disabled.
- Category Three: Veteran Preference:
- The applicant head of household is a military veteran who separated from the service with any classification except dishonorable.
- Category Four: Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking Preference:
- Determined to be a victim of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking as described and prescribed under the Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA), and
- Applicant submits required documentation to qualify for the preference
- Category Five: Family Self-sufficiency (FSS) / HUD Demonstration Program Preference:
- Enrolled in the HUD Family Self-sufficiency Program (FSS); or
- Enrolled in any other HUD Demonstration Program. Demonstration Programs are HUD sponsored programs that after a determination of good cause and subject to statutory limitations, have been given authority to grant waivers to regulations that govern those programs
- Category Six: Involuntary Displacement Preference:
- A government action or a state or federally declared natural disaster involuntarily displaced you from a domicile in the DHA service area of DuPage County.
- Category Seven: Homeless Preference.
A total of 450 applicants were placed on each waiting list, by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.
150 applicants were placed on the Arbor Place of Lisle 1-Bedroom waiting list, and 150 applicants were placed on the Arbor Place of Lisle 2-Bedroom waiting list.
100 applicants were placed on the Marian Park Studio Bedroom waiting list, 300 applicants were placed on the Marian Park 1-Bedroom waiting list, and 150 applicants were placed on the Marian Park 2-Bedroom waiting list.
100 applicants were placed on the Naperville Elderly Homes waiting list.
100 applicants were placed on the Woodridge Horizons waiting list.
