Tazewell County, Illinois Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The East Peoria Housing Authority (EPHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from July 1, 2020, until July 15, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Family and/or elderly/disabled households
• Applicants residing within Corporate City limits of East Peoria at the time of application
• Applicants residing within Tazewell County but outside the Corporate City limits of East Peoria at the time of application

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.

The EPHA public notice stated, "Only 500 applications will be made active, the remaining applications will be placed on the waitlist in an inactive status until the first list is exhausted."
