Jackson County, Illinois Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Jackson County Housing Authority (JCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from April 15, 2019, until August 31, 2019.There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Download and print the forms listed on the JCHA website.
2. Pick up an application at the JCHA office.

Once the application has been completed, it must be either:

1. Hand delivered to the JCHA office, located at 300 North 7th St, Murphysboro, IL 62966.
2. Mailed to JCHA Section, 8 PO Box 1209, Murphysboro, Illinois 62966.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Live, Work, or Attend School in Jackson County, Illinois, Displaced by Natural Disaster, Working/Employed, Working Families, Rent Burdened.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.
