Franklin and Jefferson County, Missouri Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Franklin and Jefferson County, Missouri.

The Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation (JFCAC) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 3, 2020, until September 1, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Applications were accepted at the JFCAC offices.
2. Call the JFCAC to request an application.

Once the application has been completed, it was to be:

1. Mailed to the JFCAC housing offices.
2. Hand delivered to one of the JFCAC housing offices.

Please note: Faxed or electronic submissions were not accepted. 

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Applicants who either live or work in Jefferson or Franklin County at the time of their application.
• Families who meet one of the following criteria will receive additional points on the waiting list. These include families who are transitioning out of institutional and other segregated settings (this does not include a correctional facility), at serious risk of institutionalization, homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or previously experienced homelessness and are currently a client in a permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing project as referred by the Missouri Balance of State or local Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry System.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
