Eligibility
The Dover Housing Authority (DHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.
The DHA offers four Public Housing communities with 458 units for families and senior/disabled households.
There are three ways to apply:
Be sure to include copies of the following documentation when submitting your pre-application: Birth certificates, Social Security Cards, proof of all income, photo IDs for all adult household members.
Please note: Certain parts of the application must be signed in front of a notary.
The DHA has identified the following preferences: Live and/or work in Dover, victim of domestic violence.

- Download all forms of the pre-application online here, then print and complete. Please make sure to download the pre-application for a specific apartment community, and not for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program, which is at the top of the page.
- Request an application be mailed to you by calling (603) 742-5804, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm ET on Mondays and Wednesday-Friday; and from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm on Tuesdays.
- Visit the DHA to pick up a pre-application in person, located at 62 Whittier St., Dover, NH 03820, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm on Mondays and Wednesday-Friday; and from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm on Tuesdays.
