The Carbondale Housing Authority (CHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from September 30, 2024. It is unclear when the waiting list will close. For the 2023 opening, it opened in September 2023 and remained open until April 2024. The housing authority is likely following the same policy this year.

To apply while the waiting list is open, visit the CHA office to fill out an application, located at 2 John St., Carbondale, PA, during regular business hours from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, applications will not be given out after 3:30 pm ET.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received.
