Eligibility
The Westmoreland Housing Authority (WHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
The WHA offers 18 apartment communities dedicated to elderly/disabled individuals, nine family apartment communities, and eight family townhome communities located throughout Westmoreland.
To apply for public housing, you must go to the housing community you would like to apply to and pick up an application there. Please follow this link for a complete list with addresses and phone numbers for each community this housing authority offers.
Please Note: The housing authority central office does not have public housing applications.
Once your application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the community where you picked it up.
This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: homeless, participants in transitional housing program, displaced by a natural disaster, enrolled or recent graduate of a job or educational training program, victim of domestic violence, or veteran.
Please Note: If you are claiming a preference, you must submit documentation with your application.
More information can be found by visiting the housing authority website at http://www.wchaonline.com/,or by calling 724-832-7258 during normal office hours.
