This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Myrtle Beach Area, South Carolina.

The Housing Authority of Myrtle Beach (HAMB) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The HAMB last accepted Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list from January 10, 2022, until January 11, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application. No paper pre-applications or faxes were accepted.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Family that has been terminated from its HCV program due to insufficient program funding.
• Families that include victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking who are seeking an emergency transfer under VAWA from any other covered housing program operated by MBHA.
• Families containing a disabled family member (30 points)
• Alliance Inn Graduates (100 points)
• Villas @ Swansgate, Carver Grove Moving to Tenant based (100 points)
• VASH Participants being transferred to HCV (100 points)

1,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
