Eligibility
The Bennington Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.
This housing authority offers one apartment community with 195 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.
There are two ways to apply for public housing:
1. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 802-442-8000, during normal office hours.
2. Visit the housing authority to pick up an application, located at 22 Willow Brook Dr., Bennington, VT 05201, during normal office hours, Monday-Friday.
Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, proof of all assets, and photo IDs for all adult household members.
This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: live and/or work in Bennington, living in substandard living conditions, or rent burden.
